One of the main events of the TBM Reunion every year is the "Salute to Veterans Parade”. This short distance parade walk will begin at Noon on Saturday, May 16th with the Missing Man Flight shortly after the parade ends.
Our parade salutes all of our Veterans, from as far back as World War II through and including current campaigns. This parade comes complete with color guard, American flags, and, of course, the veterans passing by so you can give them the biggest "thank you" you can.
This is an emotional experience and one of the best events you can experience. The history, the thanks, the memories...make sure you are a part of it.
Included in our parade is the heartfelt Military Funeral Flag Honor Walk—a deeply moving tribute to the heroes who are no longer with us. We invite you to bring the U.S. flag that was presented to you or your family in honor of your veteran loved one. Each flag carries a story, a life of service, and a legacy that deserves to be remembered.
During the parade, a family member will carry your flag along the parade path lined with 200 flags blowing—surrounded by honor guards, and a community that stands with you in remembrance.
Following the short walk, these flags will be placed in a TBM Avenger aircraft and flown in a missing man formation—a powerful symbol of sacrifice and a final salute to those who gave so much.
To participate with your loved one’s flag, simply bring your flag to the volunteer booth. All flags must be checked in by 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 16th. We will safely label your flag for a guaranteed return to you after the flight.
We warmly invite you to be part of this tribute. There are no participation restrictions—you are welcome to join even if you participated previously.
Whether this is your first year or you have walked with us before, your presence helps keep their memory alive.
If you do not have a flag, you are still welcome to participate. You may carry a framed photo or another meaningful memento—every story deserves to be seen, and every life deserves to be honored.
We will also need people to hold one of the 200 flags along the parade path. If you feel called to take part in this act of remembrance, please arrive early and speak with someone at the volunteer booth.
Together, we remember. Together, we honor. Together, we ensure they are never forgotten.
We are encouraging all veterans to participate. Spread the word, the veterans being honored do not need to be local. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
